Music video Invisible

I created a music video for the song ‘Invisible’ by Soma and the loved ones. I started filming the band members’ eyes, mouths and hands, and I had all sorts of crazy ideas about joining them into one giant creature, but it didn’t really work out. After quite a while of trying out stuff, being busy with other projects and feeling a bit empty for ideas, I – and Soma Allpass – almost gave up. Then, as good luck would have it – I started lloking at my aquired, old photographic plates made of glass. One of them showed a black/white vulcano landscape and I immediately felt a connection with this and Soma’s eye. I had to try it! From there on, the story unfolded slowly while I worked with composites of eyes, ears and Soma’s face in relation to more photographic plates – in constant inspiration from the music itself. It was quite a struggle to finish (in Apple Motion!), but it was also clear that I had to finish it. The tempo is super slow – both music and visuals – and the language of the story is simple, yet open and mysterious.
