The Divided Line

Patrick Jarnfelt and Andrea Hasselager from Loveable Hat Cult asked me to make a sound design for their laser game in darkness – shown on wOOt festival in Copenhagen.

As a particiant in the game, you stand together with others in a completely dark room. The room is then divided in different ways by laser and the game is all about not being hit by the laser beams. It takes a group effort and it’s pretty scary!

The sound design was – as usual – built on my own recordings:

• An eery soundscape
• A ‘lasers loading’ sound
• A ‘game over’ sound
• Laser sounds – as scary as possible and tuned to create small chords of horror
